Friday, February fourteenth, the   UN says at least 22 people have been killed in a village in the Northwest region of Cameroon. Over half of those killed were children. No one has claimed responsibility for Friday’s incident but the opposition parties blame the killing on the government.

Fourteen Cameroonian footballers suspected of having reduced their age to participate in the Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) were suspended by the country’s federation (Fecafoot). “Fourteen players have just been exposed by an Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) test after they were pre-selected to participate in the junior AFCON to be held in Madagascar in 2017,” the Cameroonian state radio CRTV announced on Tuesday.

The Romanian public prosecutor has charged emergency doctor Elena Duta with the manslaughter of former Cameroon midfielder Patrick Ekeng. Ekeng, 26, collapsed during a league match for Dinamo Bucharest in May and died of heart failure.
