Wyoming authorities arrested a father and son duo and say they are connected with the kidnapping and assault of a woman and her four daughters.
The father, Flint Wayne Harrison, turned himself in
Saturday while his son, Dereck James Harrison, was arrested later that night.
Police say the men lured a woman and her daughters, ages 13 to 18, to a
Utah home for a barbecue. The men then tied up a mother and her four daughters
in a basement and then hit the mother and some of the girls with a baseball
bat.
The girls were able to get away and called 911 on their
cellphone, according to the Centerville Police Department in Utah. The mother
was also able to get free -- she and one of her daughters were sent to the
hospital for treatment, police said.
Police said the Harrisons then drove to Wyoming, where a
manhunt for them took place for about a day.
Police think this all stemmed as retaliation against the
mother. NBC reported
that Dereck Harrison falsely thought the woman had turned him in for using
meth.
Wyoming authorities said both most likely will be sent
back to Utah to face charges of kidnapping and assault.

Cameroonian scammer arrested in Montreal (canada
The Sûreté du Québec announced Wednesday the arrest of an alleged fraudster specialist of a scenario called "Black money scam", in which victims are invited to participate in the cleaning of soiled banknotes, then are robbed during the operation. Cyrille Ngogang, 49 years old, was caught red-handed in downtown Montreal Tuesday afternoon. He appeared in court this morning to be charged with fraud and breach of commitment. The man is not in his first trouble with the law: he was previously arrested by the SQ on 19 January for charges related to the same scheme, and had been able to resume its freedom under strict conditions pending his trial. There are several variants of the 'Black money' scenario, but all involve a so-called batch of cash that has been stained with a dye or colouring substance. Scammers ask their victim to provide money to clean the hoard.
