Civil society in Cameroon plans to register 15 million voters

The platform of Civic Coalition of Cameroon (Coacic) leading a fight against abusers of public assets, wants a change of regime in Cameroon.

To do this, she is determined to make every effort to oust Paul Biya at the end of the next presidential election, regardless of whether or not it is early. Meeting in special session this Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Douala, the members of this coalition first condemned the approach of the members of the democratic of the Cameroonian people (CPDM), consisting of gathering not only to call Paul Biya to stand in the next presidential election but also to ask the anticipation of elections.

"Even though we knew the Coacic that the presidential elections should happen in October 2018, we realize that little by little, it is moving towards a possible anticipation of elections. All its members have come together today to say that this is unacceptable", said Bruno Deffo, the Coordinator of this organization.

It is also about finding ways to bring Cameroon to be owners of their electoral sovereignty. Members of this platform are also considering to find a strategy to register not less than 15 million voters which will mostly vote against the regime in place.

"We want to push Cameroonians to be owners of voting shares, asking them to register on electoral lists and to establish a critical mass of 15 million voters, 15 million voters, 15 tellers votes controllers... Our role is to see how to bring the people to recover its sovereignty and to use it for his good. We want to bring the people to the final victory against the dictator of Etoudi. » Hammered the leader of this movement.

The proposals in this direction during the Wednesday meeting will be studied in Committee, learned. But already, the Coacic which arises in "Pathfinder of the people" called Cameroonians to stand as one man to stand in the way for a new mandate of the 'dictator' Paul Biya at the head of the Cameroon.

The civic coalition of Cameroon has over 50 members, including political parties and civil society organization.
