Friday, February fourteenth, the   UN says at least 22 people have been killed in a village in the Northwest region of Cameroon. Over half of those killed were children. No one has claimed responsibility for Friday’s incident but the opposition parties blame the killing on the government.

Ghana: UK blacklists 3 serving lawmakers over visa fraud

The United Kingdom has blacklisted three serving legislators of Ghana’s Parliament over visa fraud. A former Member of Parliament (MP) has also been implicated. According to a UK High Commission confidential letter sent to the speaker of Parliament but leaked to the media, the MPs had facilitated the entry of some relatives to the UK using their diplomatic passports. Twenty seven Anglophones to be appear before the military tribunal today April 27, 2017

Barrister Agbor Balla, Dr. Fontem Neba, Mancho Bibixy and 24 other Anglophones incarcerated in the Yaounde Central Prison Kondegui, are to appear before the court today.  They are accused of propagating false information, terrorism, and vandalism among others. Will Morocco replace Cameroon as African Football Cup host?

Rabat –  Morocco has been named as potential substitute for Cameroon as the host of the 2019 African Football Cup of Nations. Media reports indicate the kingdom might take over hosting privileges from the central African country amid criticism of decisions taken by the former president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Issa Hayatou. Since the Madagascar Football Association chief Ahmed Ahmed succeeded Hayatou in March, the former president’s controversial TV contract with the French company Lagardere Sports has been brought into question by the new president.The hosting titles given to Cameroon for 2019, the Ivory Coast for 2021, and Guinea for 2023 were also criticized. The Moroccan sports news website “Hesport” said that CAF’s executive committee is due to meet soon to decide whether the three organizing countries have sufficient infrastructure to host the events. Erin Moran, the former child star who played Joanie Cunningham in the sitcom "Happy Days" and "Joanie Loves Chachi," died Saturday at age 56. She died from stage four cancer.
