Friday, February fourteenth, the   UN says at least 22 people have been killed in a village in the Northwest region of Cameroon. Over half of those killed were children. No one has claimed responsibility for Friday’s incident but the opposition parties blame the killing on the government.

Turkish Airlines first in Africa to increase flights routes in Nigeria

Turkish Airlines, named Europe’s best airline for five years, has announced its decision to increase the number of routes and flights it offers in Nigeria, as well as its new status as Number One in Africa. The announcement was made last week by the Vice President, Turkish Airlines, Mr. Said Samil Karakas, while speaking to the press in the country’s capital, Istanbul.

Sheep arrested by police after it killed another sheep during fight

Somali journalist and humanitarian worker, Rooble Mohamed shared this photo of a sheep on his twitter alleging that the animal is currently in police custody for killing one of its own during a fight.  "#Somaliland: A sheep is in Police custody after it killed another sheep in confrontation. Sheep's fate is not clear"  Lol. How hilarious is this, if true?

US court sentences man to 3 years for threatening Obama on Facebook

A federal judge on Friday sentenced a Wisconsin man to three years in prison for threatening to kill U.S. President Barack Obama through a post on Facebook, court records showed. Brian Dutcher, 55, of Tomah was also sentenced to three years of supervised release on the felony charge, according to the order of U.S. District Judge William Conley. Conley also recommended that Dutcher receive a full mental health evaluation and treatment as necessary.

Dutch police arrest man suspected of planning terror attack

Dutch prosecutors say police have arrested a 32-year-old Frenchman in the port city of Rotterdam at the request of French authorities who suspect him of "involvement in planning a terror attack." Prosecutors said in a statement Sunday that French officials requested the arrest Friday after the suspect emerged during an investigation. The suspect, whose identity was not released, is expected to be extradited to France soon.
