Cameroon: Northwest Governor tours his region in military bulletproof truck

The Governor of the Northwest region of Cameroon, Adolphe Lele Lafrique, recently visited the 7 divisions that constitute his region. During his visit, he encouraged the inhabitants to return to school during the upcoming academic year.

But the Governor abandoned the comfort of his diplomatic SUVs to a military bulletproof truck throughout his tour within the region due to the insecurity in that part of the country.
On several occasions, the Governor's convoy was attacked by the separatist group that wanted to make their presence noticeable.
There were no casualties as the militarized convoy neutralized the attacks. But no casualty was reported.
It is evident that the crisis in the English-speaking region of Cameroon is ongoing. if the governor is unable to circulate without being heavily militarized, what protection would he offer to the unprotected civilians?
School campuses have been abandoned by students and teachers due to insecurity in that region of the country.
