MTN Cameroon extends 4G network to Kribi

MTN Cameroon has announced the extension of its 4G network to the seaside tourist town of Kribi.

LTE technology has been available in the towns of Yaounde, Douala, Buea and Bamenda since December 2015.

It has invested close to CFA 60 billion in developing the network over eight months and is the first operator to launch the technology in Cameroon.

Today, roughly 50 percent of the company's close to 10 million subscribers are covered by MTN's 4G network.  In the near future, four more cities will benefit from LTE.
