Friday, February fourteenth, the   UN says at least 22 people have been killed in a village in the Northwest region of Cameroon. Over half of those killed were children. No one has claimed responsibility for Friday’s incident but the opposition parties blame the killing on the government.

Bafana Bafana frustated by Cameroon

Bafana Bafana and Cameroon have played to a 0-0 draw at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, leaving South Africa with a very slim chance of qualifying for AFCON 2017.

South Africa were the far more industrious side but just could not fashion any decent open play chances.
They came closest to scoring from two set pieces, one in each half.

Cameroon keeper Fabrice Ondoa however, had other ideas, saving brilliantly on both occasions from Sifiso Hlanti free-kicks.

South Africa has a massive shout for a penalty turned down in the 90th minute after Thulani Serero was brought down in the area.

The referee, however, waved play on.

In other Group M action, Gambia and Mauritania drew 0-0, moving Mauritania up to seven points.

Bafana Bafana who only have three points in the group, will now have to beat both Gambia and Mauritania and rely on other results going to their way to qualify for AFCON 2017. Cameroon lead the group on eight points.
